Stone Hedge Farm History
Stone Hedge farm has now been operating on East Ave. in Hackettstown (Washington Township, Morris County) since 1986. We have met and worked with many wonderful clients and try to wake everyone up in March from the long, cold darkness of the winter season.
When Forsythia and Arborvitae, Lilacs and Norway Spruce, and outrageous colors of spring Pansies show up on our site, people know it’s spring and Stone Hedge is reopened.
Our tradition has been to open 2 weeks before Easter each spring. We look forward to conversations with long standing clients about how they managed the winter months, how everyone in their family is doing and how bad the deer damaged their landscaped plants.
Our success has been accomplished through hard work, many long hours, through all types of weather, dedicated employee’s, and trial and error. Ultimately it’s been our clients and customers who continue to support us every season in spite of the emergence of large chain box stores and rising prices. We have survived with our customer service oriented manner and our knowledgeable staff that you won’t find a big box stores!
We thank our loyal patrons who have even followed us when we moved locations 30 years ago! We say to the big box chain stores, ‘give us your best shot’. We have more experience, knowledge and plant enthusiasm than all of them combined!
